Convenience of the Mini Laptop

mini notebookEver used a mini laptop? The light-weight, economical, and energy-efficient gadget, one of the most innovative of computer launches, is well suited for wireless communication and Internet access. Also termed mini netbook and mini notebook, you can enjoy web-based computing performance beyond satisfaction. The great portability and long battery life add to the advantage.

Light operating systems such Windows 7 Starter edition, Linux, Windows XP are featured in a mini notebook. Prime emphasis in this device is laid on web browsing and e-mailing; thus you do need Internet connectivity for remote access to web-based applications. If you want a less powerful client computer, the mini netbook will well serve your purpose.

The size of the mini laptop generally ranges from below 5 inches to over 12 and weigh between 0.9 – 1.4 kg. I recently bought the Lenovo S10-3 5903-1861 10.1-inch (Black) Netbook from microsoftstore.co.in. This online store selling genuine Microsoft products has a databank of numerous brands and models of the mini notebook.

I bought the mini laptop for Rs. 18,638; it is worth the investment. The convenience associated is the greatest advantage. No matter where I go, I just put it in my purse and move off. At traffic signals, I could now have a quick look at the mails. And if my driver is driving, I could use it to my heart’s content. Weighing 1.2 kg, my Lenovo mini notebook comes with 10.1” screen, 1.66 GHz Intel Atom processor, 1 GB RAM and 250 GB HDD.
